Ana Baird, LCSW

A Better You Counseling was founded by Ana Baird, LCSW. Ana is a Bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She graduated with her Masters of Social Work degree from Aurora University in 2015. Her level of expertise includes working with individuals, groups, and families from diverse backgrounds, as well as the LGBTQIA+ community. She addresses depression, anxiety, grief, anger, trauma, and family relational problems. Ana is certified in DBT and C-PTSD.

She is committed to assisting each individual build on their existing strengths to live their best possible life. She believes helping is an honor; therapy is a collaborative adventure; and that we are all choice-makers.

Antonio is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who provides compassionate, evidence-based mental health care grounded in cultural sensitivity and a patient-centered philosophy. Licensed in Illinois, he works with individuals across the lifespan from children and adolescents to adults and older adults-addressing a wide range of psychiatric concerns.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Aurora University, where he developed a strong foundation in clinical care, and went on to complete his Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner training at the University of St. Francis. There, he gained advanced expertise in comprehensive psychiatric assessment, accurate diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning.

Antonio offers thorough psychiatric evaluations, collaborative treatment planning, and thoughtful psychotropic medication management. He takes a holistic approach to care, recognizing the important connection between mental and physical health and tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals.

With extensive experience in inpatient and high-acuity settings, Antonio has worked with complex and severe psychiatric conditions across all age groups. He is known for his calm, empathetic, and solution-focused style, helping patients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their care. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Antonio is deeply committed to improving access to quality mental health services and reducing cultural and linguistic barriers for diverse communities.

Yuridia Campuzano, LSW

Yuridia is a Bilingual Licensed Social Worker with a client-centered, trauma-informed and culturally competent approach to therapy. Yuridia graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Masters of Social Work with a concentration in migration studies. 

Yuridia has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Implementing a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered techniques, and mindfulness-based practices, she supports children, adolescents, and adults navigating challenges like depression, anxiety, stress and trauma. 

Yuridia is passionate about bringing awareness around mental health and supporting individuals in their journey. She works together with her clients to create meaningful goals and achieve them. Yuridia is available in person or through Telehealth.

Suki Singh, LSW

Suki, is a compassionate and dedicated social worker committed to supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges with empathy and care. She earned her degree from Aurora University, where she built a strong foundation in Social Work with a focus on non-profit organizations and community-based resources.

Suki works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples facing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions. She has a special interest in supporting individuals navigating parenthood—from those preparing to become parents to those adjusting to the evolving demands of family life.

Her approach is holistic, psychodynamic, solution-focused, and client-centered, grounded in a family systems perspective that recognizes the importance of relationships and life experiences in shaping overall well-being. Suki integrates creative and expressive techniques—such as play, poetry, self-reflection prompts, music, and movement—to help clients better understand and communicate their thoughts and emotions.

Committed to culturally responsive care, Suki thoughtfully incorporates each client’s cultural and religious background into the therapeutic process. As a Punjabi speaker, she is able to connect with and support a diverse range of individuals and families.

Courtney Holbrook, LCSW

Courtney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 10 years of experience supporting individuals and families in their mental health journey. Courtney earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Aurora University in 2015 and has worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, substance use treatment, PHP/IOP programs, crisis intervention, community mental health, residential programs, and with justice-involved individuals.

She draws from multiple evidence-based approaches, including TF-CBT, CPT, Narrative Therapy, Expressive Therapy, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Self-Compassion, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness. Courtney is also trained in EMDR and is working toward full certification.

Courtney specializes in supporting clients with PTSD and C-PTSD, trauma recovery, addictions, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and personality disorders.

Courtney believes that therapy is not a "one-size fits all" process and will tailor your treatment plan around your own unique needs and preferences. Courtney is available in person or through Telehealth.

Melissa Lopez, LSW

Melissa Lopez is a Bilingual Licensed Social Worker with a background in behavioral health and substance use treatment. She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work, as well as her MBA, from Aurora University.

Melissa has experience supporting adolescents and adults through challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger, life transitions, and co-occurring disorders. She takes a compassionate and strengths-based approach, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of her clients. Drawing on techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and person-centered care, Melissa creates a safe and supportive space for growth and healing.

Melissa believes in meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them as they navigate life’s challenges. She values creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. She is fluent in Spanish and available for both in-person and Telehealth sessions.

Natalia Avalos, MSW INTERN

Natalia is a Master of Social Work student at Aurora University, currently completing her second-year field placement. She has gained meaningful experience supporting individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, guiding them through both crisis situations, everyday challenges, and helping them connect with community resources.

Natalia is passionate about helping people navigate life’s transitions with confidence and compassion. She enjoys facilitating group therapy and working with college students as they explore identity, relationships, and personal growth. Natalia strives to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard, respected, and supported in their journey toward balance and well-being.

Grounded in a client-centered and collaborative approach, she meets each client where they are and works alongside them to develop meaningful steps toward healing and self-discovery.
